Privacy, the small print, in plain words
Your details, and what we do with them.
No dark patterns, no data brokers, no fifty-page policy nobody reads. Here, plainly, is exactly what happens to anything you share with us.
The short version
We collect only what you give us when you get in touch, we use it only to reply and help you, we never sell it, and we set no tracking cookies. That’s genuinely the whole of it — the rest below is the detail.
Who we are
Gildhouse Ltd. (“Gildhouse”, “we”) is the data controller for the information you share with us. You can reach us any time at hello@gildhouse.uk.
What we collect, and why
When you use our enquiry form or email us, we receive the details you choose to give — typically your name, business, town, email, phone and your message. We use them for one purpose: to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work. Our lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
Cookies & tracking
The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, runs no analytics, and we don’t build a profile of you. There’s no cookie banner here because there’s nothing that would need one.
Who else handles it
To run the site and reply to you, a few carefully chosen suppliers process your details on our behalf — and only on our instructions:
- Vercel — hosts the website and runs the form, so your enquiry briefly passes through their systems on its way to us.
- Resend — delivers the emails (the message to us, and your confirmation), so it handles what you submit in transit.
- Proton — our email provider, where your message is then received and stored in our inbox.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as needed to deal with them and for our own reasonable records, then delete them. If we don’t end up working together, tell us and we’ll remove your details sooner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, or object to our using it. Email us and we’ll sort it promptly. If you’re ever unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
